Developed for Base Layers, this Single Jersey Knit answers the most common brief we receive: next-to-skin comfort with continuous moisture movement. The yarn package is 80% nylon 6 filament / 20% spandex, chosen because it provides a dry, smooth hand with strong recovery in every direction, and the finished cloth is set and tested so that Quick-Dry.

Why this construction works
Performance comes from three decisions: the yarn, the stitch and the finishing route. 80% nylon 6 filament / 20% spandex supplies the base behaviour, a plain single-bed knit sets how air and moisture move, and finishing is kept deliberately light so the attributes survive washing.

Performance features
- Quick-Dry: releases absorbed moisture fast enough to be ready for the next session, measured by AATCC 199 drying rate.
- Hand and comfort: a dry, smooth hand with strong recovery in every direction.
- Construction benefit: the lightest way to get coverage, with good stretch and a clean surface for printing.
- Consistency: GSM and width tolerance are locked per lot and recorded on the inspection sheet.
- Durability: performance is verified after repeated washing, not only as delivered.
Recommended applications
Specified mainly for Base Layers, and suited to any programme where next-to-skin comfort with continuous moisture movement is written into the brief. Designers use the same base for matching styles, which keeps colour continuity simple across a collection.

Dyeing, finishing and customisation
Dyeing runs on a controlled recipe with consolidated dye lots to hold shade continuity. Finishing options include wicking, antibacterial, soft touch and anti-pilling, applied after lab trials so the hand approved in sampling is the hand delivered in bulk.
Care instructions
- Machine wash at 30 degrees with mild detergent, no fabric softener.
- Dry away from direct heat and do not tumble dry hot.
- Cool iron on the reverse if needed, and avoid bleach.
Ordering, sampling and quality control
Sampling is fast: A4 hand feel cards, laboratory dips and a 5 metre trial roll within a week. Bulk runs in 20-25 days, with inline inspection and a final random inspection before packing.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum for a first order? Development starts at 300 metres per colour, which is enough for a proper wear trial and a small capsule. Bulk pricing improves at 1,000 metres and above per colour.
Can we get recycled content with this construction? In most cases yes. GRS certified recycled nylon or polyester can replace the virgin yarn with full chain of custody documents, usually with no visible change in hand or performance.
