Base construction

Performance targets

The same test is repeated per production lot, and results below the target are rejected rather than negotiated. Cost impact is about 5-8% extra material cost, which is usually recovered through fewer returns across a season.
Comfort and other targets
Odour control must not come at the cost of comfort. Moisture management is checked to AATCC 195, dimensional change to AATCC 135, and hand is approved against a sealed reference sample. Wear trials were run under studio practice and athleisure rather than in the laboratory alone.
