Static Cling Solutions for Yoga Sets: Common Failure Causes and Fixes
Below are the failure patterns most often seen when static cling affects coordinated yoga sets, with the correction for each.
Failure: hidden until worn
garments cling to the skin or attract lint in dry conditions usually appears after several sessions. Because it develops slowly, it reaches the customer instead of the inspection table. Because long holds put sustained rather than shock load on the fabric, target checks are made on a worn sample rather than flat fabric alone.
Cause one
hydrophobic fibres with no antistatic finish. Keep EN 1149 surface resistance named in the tech pack so every lot is measured the same way.

Cause two
low humidity storage. Where coordinated yoga sets is worn for studio practice and everyday wear, set tolerances around that range of movement.
Cause three
high contact friction. Any change to soft brushed jersey with 4-way stretch requires re-testing against surface resistivity below 1E11 ohms before bulk is released.
Correction and prevention
Apply antistatic finish durable to 15 washes first, then verify against surface resistivity below 1E11 ohms using EN 1149 surface resistance. Lock the corrected settings into the bulk recipe so repeat orders behave identically. Past reports from EN 1149 surface resistance help the mill reproduce the same recipe on the next order.
