Heat Build-Up Solutions for Swimwear: Care and Service Life Advice
Care instructions decide whether heat build-up stays solved for the life of the swimwear, not just until delivery.
What shortens performance
the garment traps more heat than the activity tolerates becomes obvious earlier when the garment is dried hot or washed with softener, because both attack the finish and the elastic. Because the fabric stays wet, stretched and chemically exposed for hours, target checks are made on a worn sample rather than flat fabric alone.
Washing guidance
Wash at 30 degrees inside out with similar colours. Mild detergent preserves the finish applied for heat build-up. Keep AATCC 195 moisture management tester named in the tech pack so every lot is measured the same way.

Drying and storage
do not use fabric softener which blocks capillaries. Where swimwear is worn for pool training and beach use, set tolerances around that range of movement.
Expected service life
With correct care the target of moisture management class above 3 on AATCC 195 remains approachable for 40-50 home washes, after which routine replacement is reasonable. Any change to nylon and polyester knits at 190-230 GSM with high elastane requires re-testing against moisture management class above 3 on AATCC 195 before bulk is released.
Supporting the customer
Print clear care wording and mention AATCC 195 moisture management tester validation on the product page so claims can be supported if questioned. Past reports from AATCC 195 moisture management tester help the mill reproduce the same recipe on the next order.
