Slippage describes yarns pulling apart at the seam, while seam strength measures the force the seam itself withstands.

Test method outline
A standard seam is prepared, then loaded perpendicular or parallel to the seam until failure occurs.
Write the requirement into the fabric specification as a numeric range with the test method named, so buyer and mill measure the same thing.

Common causes of failure
