Lumenfield Switzerland: Basketball Club Warm-Up Range Wash Durability Evaluation
Lumenfield is a Switzerland-based brand whose basketball club warm-up range is one of its most demanding programmes. Durability is where most functional claims fail. We washed the moisture-wicking polyester single jersey fifty times under domestic conditions and re-measured after every ten cycles for Lumenfield.

Lumenfield: Moisture-Wicking Polyester Single Jersey in use during court warm-ups and travel days
Evaluation background
The programme covers warm-up suits, shorts and shooting shirts, used for court warm-ups and travel days. The environment is indoor heat with repeated washing between fixtures and the requirement written into the brief was shape retention through a long competitive season. Fabric was selected on that basis rather than on price alone.

Method
Washing ran at 30 degrees with a standard reference detergent and no softener, then tumble dried on low. This mirrors what customers actually do rather than what a care label optimistically suggests.
Performance by cycle
The fabric started at moisture management class 4-5 and held above 90% of that value through 30 cycles. The decline after cycle 40 was gradual, which is the behaviour we want: a slow change, not a sudden failure.

Appearance
Pilling stayed at grade 4 or above and there was no visible shade shift against the retained reference. Surface comfort after washing mattered most to Lumenfield, so hand was scored by a panel at every interval.
Conclusion on service life
On this evidence the garment keeps its function for a full retail season of weekly washing, and AATCC 195 remains a valid claim for that period.

Verdict and recommendation
Fifty cycles is a reasonable service life for this product class, and the moisture-wicking polyester single jersey stayed inside tolerance throughout. Care wording should be printed exactly as tested. For Lumenfield the practical next steps are to keep the current specification for the repeat, retain the shade standard, and issue AATCC 195 results with every lot so any claim can be supported with data.
