Ironroot Performance Sweden: Yoga and Pilates Studio Programme Wash Durability Evaluation
Ironroot Performance is a Sweden-based brand whose yoga and pilates studio programme is one of its most demanding programmes. Durability is where most functional claims fail. We washed the spacer knit fifty times under domestic conditions and re-measured after every ten cycles for Ironroot Performance.

Ironroot Performance: Spacer Knit in use during mat-based studio sessions and long holds
Evaluation background
The programme covers leggings, crop tops and studio shorts, used for mat-based studio sessions and long holds. The environment is warm, humid studios with sustained low-load stretch and the requirement written into the brief was a soft hand with full coverage through every pose. Fabric was selected on that basis rather than on price alone.

Method
Washing ran at 30 degrees with a standard reference detergent and no softener, then tumble dried on low. This mirrors what customers actually do rather than what a care label optimistically suggests.
Performance by cycle
The fabric started at air permeability above 200 mm/s with usable thermal resistance and held above 90% of that value through 30 cycles. The decline after cycle 40 was gradual, which is the behaviour we want: a slow change, not a sudden failure.

Appearance
Pilling stayed at grade 4 or above and there was no visible shade shift against the retained reference. Surface comfort after washing mattered most to Ironroot Performance, so hand was scored by a panel at every interval.
Conclusion on service life
On this evidence the garment keeps its function for a full retail season of weekly washing, and ISO 11092 remains a valid claim for that period.

Verdict and recommendation
Fifty cycles is a reasonable service life for this product class, and the spacer knit stayed inside tolerance throughout. Care wording should be printed exactly as tested. For Ironroot Performance the practical next steps are to keep the current specification for the repeat, retain the shade standard, and issue ISO 11092 results with every lot so any claim can be supported with data.
